The sunrise over the bay was breathtaking yesterday morning.  I tried to capture the sheer magnificence of the spectacle, but failed miserably.  I should have my camera permanently ready to hand so I can whip it out at a moment’s notice – for a moment is all there is when nature bestows such a gift to the senses.

Instead I picked up my iPad and rushed outside, into the freezing cold, in the hope I could freeze the moment for all eternity.

  1. Wow! Such a beautiful sunrise – you always manage to capture such fantastic photographs! You seem to have such a good eye for a good photo that you definitely do have artistic ability Ruth. I’m attempting a skywatch post every Friday – it was miserably grey here just in time for my first post for it. If you want a link-up to enter this post too there’s one at (though you might be too busy for bloghopping). I might include you in my round up reflection post about skywatching though, if and when i get round to it, I keep getting so distracted! And I’ve only just noticed your footer so when time I’ll pop back and see if you’ve a facebook page or whatever else – although I’m hopeless with Facebook. Bye for now πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Colette, I’ve just clicked on the link to see what it’s all about. Oh wow, there are some seriously good images on there. I need to get my camera out and take some proper photos – my phone camera can’t capture the colours I see unfortunately.

    1. Hi Cheryl, sorry, not been round much as I’ve been doing an online writing course and one looking at illegal trafficking of arts and antiquities. The second has given me ideas πŸ˜„
Not moved yet, the housing market simply isn’t moving round our area. We’ve started to edit out some of the accumulated ‘stuff’ which has piled up over 30 years of living here. Not made much of an impression on it all yet though!
Have you done any more with ‘The Seeker’? I enjoyed reading your story – very cleverly done.
My head is full of new stories, which I’m desperately wanting to write down, but I need to concentrate on one at a time and the muse refuses to let me. I bought myself a lovely orchid coloured Moleskine to plan out my next novel – it’s a joy to write in and I have you to thank for alerting me to these gorgeous notebooks. You’d mentioned them in a post some time back. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜€

      1. You know I love buying journals, but the minute I write in them I feel like I’ve defiled them somehow! You’d be surprised how many I have I’ve yet to write a single word in. LOL Glad to hear that all is well with you and you’re writing away. πŸ™‚
