I had a great start to the day today. I woke up early, decided to get up (5.40am), and head out for a walk. The weather didn’t look too promising but I wasn’t going to let that put me off. I once again took my phone with me (with the walking app counting every precious step), and walked along the front of the town – where there is a promenade skirting the bay. I can’t say I met many people, just one lone walker like myself though he wasn’t keen on responding to my chirpy ‘good morning’. I don’t think I look like a potential mugger – I’d checked that I was fully dressed before I left the house (knickers on – check; leggings on – yep; clean sweatshirt top on the right way round – check again; and my sandals on – looking great). Ah well, you can’t win ’em all.
He was the only person I saw on the first half of my walk. Usually there are dog walkers everywhere – I think the black clouds may have put them off! I did meet one man and his two dogs on the return route home – friendly (both him and his lovely dogs). I’ve long suspected that dog walking folk are just genuinely friendly people.
Anyways, working from home today which meant I was home when my mail arrived. One large envelope with my business name as the address. YES I EXIST was my first thought. My second was, calm down, it’s the advert in the local paper! Indeed it was – so exciting. Now I’m just hoping that someone will see it and pick up the phone. There’s another one due out (sister paper) in a couple of weeks or so and that paper is in a larger format – so a larger advert!
This morning, before I started work, I had also had a go at working a bit on my blog. I got rid of some of the elements I had put on my side bar that I thought were superfluous, I added a tag cloud, and then added an image logo which, when clicked, links to my other site which I use specifically for my business venture. I’ve added the logo below. This is the logo that I use on my business site and on my business cards, pens and any other branding I will be doing. I didn’t want to use it for this site though as this site is about more than my business venture. However, I’m open to suggestions and opinions. It doesn’t translate at all well to a Gravatar (I’ve tried but it really doesn’t).
